I light Pila 2024
An unforgettable party. A day of fun and solidarity on the snow, different from all the others!
You can only experience it in Pila, on Saturday 09th March 2024.
Back for the tenth consecutive year I Light Pila, the torchlight procession where everyone, really everyone can participate! On skis, snowboard, on foot or with snowshoes, in a unique setting on the highest mountains in Europe.
Armed with a pink LED torch, adults and children will descend on the slopes forming a long bright and colorful river, until they reach the “village” and celebrate together with an aperitif, music and entertainment.
Sign up for the torchlight procession, you can choose the route you like best, long, challenging, easy or short: in any case you will be performing an important act of solidarity. The proceeds from the registrations, as every year, will be donated by Pila to Susan G. Komen Italia, a non-profit association based on volunteering, which has been working since 2000 in the fight against breast cancer throughout the national territory.

Program
FROM 2pm
Welcome to the village, take your torch and immerse yourself in the party atmosphere! The day of the event, by presenting the payment receipt, it will be possible to collect the torch at the ski village located in the Baby Gorraz arrival area in a festive atmosphere with music and DJ sets.
Live entertainment: directly from Radio Deejay, Valentina Ricci and Francesco Ciocca will keep us entertained until the torchlight procession starts.
Dress code PINK! Wear something pink and receive a special gift!
On 8th and 9th March in Chanoux central place of Aosta at the stands of the VIOLA Association it will be possible to write to each other at the torchlight procession.
AT 5.30pm for skiers last lift with the lifts for a unique experience. More time to spend on skis waiting for the torchlight procession!
UNTIL 6.30pm the Liaison chairlifts and the Gorraz Grand Grimod cable car are open to allow the last stragglers to reach the starting points of the torchlight procession.
AT 5pm, appointment at the ski village for those taking part in the torchlight procession with snowshoes, departure at 5.30 PM. Snowshoes will be distributed until they run out, so as not to run out, if you have your own snowshoes, bring them with you. The Trekking Habitat and Tracce Alpine guides will accompany you along the route.
AT 5pm appointment in Chanoux place in Aosta for all pedestrians; departure at 5.30 pm from the Yeti Restaurant in Pila.
HUTS AT ALTITUDE
Before the torchlight procession: huts and bars in Pila welcome participants with good music, hot tea and mulled wine, until the departure of the pink torchlight procession, scheduled for 6.30/7pm:
– La Chatelaine – electronic/house music
– Société Anonime de Consommation – Italian music from the 80s/90s
– Hermitage – commercial music
– Lo Baoutson – 60s/70s/80s music
– Bar Grand Grimod – rock music
AT 8pm
End of the torchlight procession and symbolic delivery of the proceeds to Susan G. Komen Italia.
The day of the event, presenting the payment receipt, it will be possible to collect the torch at the ski village located in the Baby Gorraz finish area.
