Weekly Snowshoeing Program

Wednesday and Thursday – Snowshoeing at Dusk

For an unforgettable evening snowshoeing in the heart of the magical Pila woods, book this unique experience. An exciting nighttime walk to discover nature.

Duration: 5:00 PM – 7:30 PM – Elevation Gain: Approximately 150 m – Level: Hiking

Price: €25 per person – The excursion will take place with a minimum of 8 participants.

Practical Information

Snowshoes and poles are provided for those who do not have their own. Reservations must be made before noon the day before: Tracce Alpine

Friday Evening – Nighttime Snowshoeing

An exciting nighttime walk to discover the night sky in the calm and magic of the splendid Pila balcony, located at 1,800 meters altitude. Enjoy breathtaking views of the central valley and the highest peaks in the region. Every evening, the spectacle repeats itself: the stars, exceptionally clear, reveal their secrets on clear winter nights: Cassiopeia, the Big Dipper, Orion rising in the south between Taurus and Gemini…

Duration: 5:30 PM – 8:00 PM Elevation Gain: Approximately 50 meters Difficulty: Tourist

Meeting Point: 5:30 PM at the Leissé parking lot (upper Pila parking lot after the tunnel, near the Plan Bois Hotel)

Price: €20.00 – the excursion will take place with a minimum of 6 participants.

Saturday – Snowshoeing Trails

Afternoon snowshoe hike in the Pila basin, above Aosta, through the forest to Alpe Grivel (1910 m), offering exceptional panoramic views of the central valley and the highest peaks in the region.

Duration: Afternoon, from 2 pm to 5 pm – Elevation gain: 140 m – Walking time: 1.5 hours – Difficulty: Tourist

Meeting point: Pila Church – Pesein (the church is located below the Bouton d’Or parking lot, at the top of the cable car) – 2 pm

Price: €20 – The hike will take place with a minimum of 6 participants.

Sunday – Winter Hike in the Great Outdoors

A full day of snowshoeing in the heart of the Pila countryside, accompanied by a certified avalanche risk management guide. The route leads to Alpe Grivel, at 1,910 meters altitude, offering panoramic views of the magnificent peaks of the Aosta Valley: Mont Blanc, the Matterhorn, and Monte Rosa. The descent through the forest is a loop.

Duration: 10:00 AM to 2pm

Meeting point: Departure from Pila at the Aosta-Pila cable car station.

Price: €25 – the hike will take place with a minimum of 8 participants.
