Wednesday and Thursday – Dusk Snowshoeing
For a special evening snowshoeing, immersed in the magical atmosphere of the Pila woods, you can book a fantastic snowshoeing experience. An exciting evening walk to discover nature.
Duration: 5:00 PM – 7:30 PM – Elevation gain: approx. 150 m.
Difficulty: Hiking Cost: €25 per person – the excursion will take place with a minimum of 8 participants.
Useful Information
Snowshoes and poles will be provided to those who need them.

Friday – Night Snowshoe Hike
An exciting evening walk to discover the celestial vault in the silent, magical atmosphere of Pila’s splendid balcony, located at 1,800 meters above sea level with views of the central valley and the region’s highest peaks. Every night, the spectacle repeats itself, and the stars appear incredibly clear on clear winter evenings, revealing their secrets: Cassiopeia, the Big Dipper, Orion towering in the south between Taurus and Gemini…
Duration: 5:30 – 8:00 PM. Elevation Gain: Approx. 50 meters.
Difficulty: Tourist. Meeting: 5:30 PM at the Leissé parking lot (upper Pila parking lot after the tunnel near Hotel Plan Bois).
Price: €20.00 per excursion – the excursion will take place with a minimum of 6 participants.

Saturday – Snow-covered Trails
Afternoon snowshoe hike in the Pila valley, above Aosta, immersed in the woods that lead to Alpe Grivel (1,910 m), located in a panoramic position overlooking the central valley and the highest mountains in the region.
Duration: Afternoon, 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM – Elevation gain: 140 m – Ascent time: 1.5 hours – Difficulty: Tourist
Meeting point: Pila church, Pesein (the church is located below the Bouton d’Or parking lot at the top of the cable car) – 2:00 PM
Fee: €20.00 – The hike will take place with a minimum of 6 participants.

Sunday – Winter Nature Hike
A full-day snowshoe hike immersed in Pila’s natural beauty, with a certified avalanche risk management guide. The hike leads to Alpe Grivel, 1910 meters above sea level, offering a panoramic view of the beautiful Aosta Valley peaks of Mont Blanc, the Matterhorn, and Monte Rosa. The hike includes a circular descent through the forest.
Elevation gain/loss.
Duration: 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM
Meeting point: Departure from Pila at the Aosta Pila cable car station.
Price: €25 – the hike requires a minimum of 8 participants.
