Trekking

When the white mantle is dissolved and the green of the forest and meadows re-emerge, are again reachable the vast network of trails for trekking and the practice of Nordic walking, a sport that offers an easy, natural and very effective way to improve one’s own physical condition and to tone the musculature of the body, regardless of age, sex or physical preparation. The trek enjoys a pile of a wide range of walks, more or less long and demanding, which will give you the opportunity to get to know and appreciate the basin in summer.

During the summer season on Monday, Wednesdays and Thursday our Hiking Nature Guides are available to make known you all the most remote corners of the valley. You can enjoy extraordinary views, follow the footsteps of the animals, discover the alpine vegetation and the particularities of the mountains that surround us. For all excursions, reservations are required by 12am on the previous day.

Monday and Wednesday hike – The history of mountain pastures

Discover the wonderful Pila basin and its pastures, from which you can admire the main 4000 Valle d’Aosta: Mont Blanc, Rosa, Cervino and Grand Combin. Naturalistic excursion with visit and tasting at the Plan de L’Eyve mountain pasture.

LOCAL WINE TASTING
At the end of the excursion, you will have the opportunity to participate in a tasting of 3 specialties from the renowned winery Azienda Grosjean Vins. A unique experience to savor the best wines of the region and immerse yourself completely in the local flavors and aromas. A moment of relaxation and conviviality to share with your travel companions, to end an unforgettable day in style. Don’t miss this delicious opportunity!

Trekking

Departure from Pila at the arrival of the gondola lift, from 9.30am to 4pm – Cost: € 30 per person

Tasting

Possibility of tasting with local wines at the end of the excursion: € 20 per person  at 5pm

Thursday trekking

Every Thursday our guides will accompany you to discover the Pila basin, a wonderful way to reconnect with yourself and with nature, to find inner peace and serenity. Walking along quiet and solitary paths allows us to fully immerse ourselves in our environment, to listen to the sounds of nature, to breathe the fresh and clean air. So take some time for yourself, to indulge in long solitary excursions along secluded and silent paths.

Discover the magic of walking alone, of letting yourself be lulled by the sweet melodies of nature, of feeling the beat of your heart and the breath of the earth.

Departure from Pila at the arrival of the cable car at 9.30/16.30.

NEW – TREKKING EXPERIENCE

July 27 – August 2 and 9

Take advantage of the extraordinary opening of the Aosta/Pila cable car until 11:00 pm and the Chamolé chairlift until 7:00 pm!

Join our 1h 30-minute educational trek and discover the wonders of nature. During the excursion, we will deepen our knowledge of the plants and insects that populate the forest, through engaging and interactive educational content. Don’t miss this opportunity to immerse yourself in nature, learn while having fun and experience an outdoor adventure!

Reservations required, excursions are free if you stay in a consortium facility in Pila!

Each shift lasts 1h 30 minutes, 2 shifts are available: 2:00 pm / 3:30 pm.

Upon your return to Pila you can relax enjoying an aperitif and dinner with a view of the mountains and the city below, waiting for the last cable car ride at 11:00 p.m.
