4 April 2024

Pila’s summer season begins on Saturday 22 June 2024 and ends on Sunday 8 September 2024.

The Aosta-Pila gondola and the Chamolé chairlift come into operation on 22 June (find out the timetables here), while the Gorraz Grand Grimod cablecar opens from 20 July until 1 September. A splendid opportunity to reach the summit faster, but not only that! In fact, from the arrival of the cable car there are two new bike trails: the first allows the connection with the very famous Desarpa (track no. 8) while the second is a completely new route, New Enduro Trail (track no. 9) which allows join the beloved Flow Trail Commencal (track n°16).

But if you think that the opportunities to fully experience the Pila mountain end here, you are very wrong! In fact, for trekking lovers, the use of the Gorraz Grand Grimod cable car allows you to more easily reach path n°23 (Capanna Arno), 23a, reach Pointe de la Pierre and descend back to Pila passing through Alpe Champchenille, Liautaysaz and Grimondet.

The opening of the Gorraz Grand Grimod cablecar is new as work has finally started on the construction of the new Pila – Couis gondola (and various infrastructures accompanying the work). In fact, it is not possible to use the Couis 1 chairlift which remains closed due to the works on the new lift. This is an important construction site that involves Pila resort, as much as the important lift that will be built. In fact, with the construction of the new Pila – Couis gonbdola it will then be possible to reach the Couis peak at 2,730 m above sea level. starting from the center of Aosta in just 32 minutes.
