On July 27th, August 3rd and 10th the Aosta – Pila gondola changes its timetable: the last run is at 21.00. In this way you will have the opportunity to experience complete relaxation with no hurry on Pila mountain, between bikepark and trekking in the middle of nature. A special occasion to enjoy the slopes longer, lengthen your walks and why not, perhaps treat yourself to an aperitif in the renowned Pila clubs with the milder temperatures and the evocative atmosphere of the sunset before returning home.

Not only the Aosta – Pila gondola extends its opening hours, but also the bikepark, the Chamolé chairlift and bike and protection rental which remain open until 7.30pm.
This will allow you to spend more time riding your bike, walking along the paths of the area to discover it and allowing yourself a gourmet break at the end of the day enjoying the coolness and the softer light.

Furthermore, from July 20th until September 1st, it will be possible to use the Gorraz-Grand-Grimod cable car, a splendid opportunity to reach the summit faster, but not only! In fact, from the arrival of the cable car there are two new bike trails: the first allows the connection with the very famous Desarpa (track n°8) while the second is a completely new track, New Enduro Trail (track n°9) which allows join the much loved Flow Trail Commencal (trail #16).

But if you think that the opportunities to fully experience Pila mountain end here, you are very wrong! In fact, for trekking lovers, the use of the Gorraz-Grand-Grimod cable car allows you to reach path n°23 (Capanna Arno), 23a more easily, reach Pointe de la Pierre and go back down to Pila passing through Alpe Champchenille, Liautaysaz and Grimondet.

The opening of the Gorraz-Grand-Grimod cable car itself is a novelty as work has finally begun for the construction of the new Pila – Couis gondola (and various infrastructures supporting the work). In fact, it is not possible to use the Couis 1 chairlift which remains closed for the functional adaptation of the ski slope n°9 and for the first works of the new lift. The one involving the Pila district is an important construction site, as much as the important lift that will be built. In fact, with the construction of the new Pila – Couis gondola it will then be possible to reach the Couis 1 peak at 2,730 m a.s.l. starting from the center of Aosta in just 32 minutes.
