This easy hike starts at Lake Chamolè, and in about an hour and a half it reaches the center of the town passing through Lake La Nouva and the nearby pastures. A perfect itinerary to return to base after savoring the beauty of the most iconic lake in the Pila ski area.
The start of this itinerary is from the shores of Lake Chamolè, it descends towards Pila following the evident path that in fifteen minutes leads to the arrival of the Chamolè chairlift. Along this stretch, some benches are available for those who come from longer hikes and want to rest. Once you reach the chairlift, keep left towards the refuge, and continue along the farm road that in winter is a ski slope numbered as trail 22. The path is wide and easy, without ever being too steep, and in thirty minutes of walking it leads first next to Lake La Nouva and the nearby pastures, and then to the old golf course now in disuse. The view of Mont Blanc and the other surrounding peaks is repeated throughout the itinerary. After passing the golf course, the road is flanked by woods, which accompany the path until you reach the Gorraz car park, where you can take a last break at the benches that surround the fountain before the last stretch to reach the center of Pila. The altitude to cover of 500mt is all negative, the development of the trekking is about 6.5km, and it takes an hour and a half to cover it.7
