A classic and undemanding hike that passes through some of the most iconic viewpoints in the Pila area: the Chamolè lake, the Col Replan, the Comboè valley and Plan Fenêtre.
Thanks to the chairlift, this circular hike is simple and has a reduced positive gradient. However, it allows you to enjoy remarkable views of both the highest peaks in Europe and the wild slopes of the Monte Emilius group. The path is always well marked and except for a few short steep sections it is not challenging, and does not present technical difficulties. The actual trekking starts from the arrival of the Chamolè chairlift. You first pass by the Chamolè Lake, then reach the Col Replan with its orientation table from which you can admire Monte Bianco, Monte Rosa and Cervino, and continue along the very beautiful and airy but never exposed ridge that divides the Pila area from the Comboè valley. You then continue to Plan Fenêtre, where you can catch your breath before facing the descent that, passing through the Chamolè alpage, allows you to return to Pila.
